You will be looked after by local operators and shown two of the most stunning Fiords in the region. The iconic Milford Sound with its dramatic high peaks and the untouched wilderness of Doubtful Sound which is 3 times the size of Milford Sound. Doubtful Sound
Experience a daytrip to Doubtful Sound with pick up from Radford’s.
Your adventure begins with a 30km cruise across the crystal clear waters of beautiful Lake Manapouri. The 2nd deepest lake in NZ with its many bush clad islands, sandy beaches, and many coves and bays, surrounded by bush clad mountains - it really is a magical part of New Zealand.
On arrival at West Arm spend some time browsing the information displays at the Department of Conservation Visitor Centre. Spend some time viewing historical visual & audio displays about the current modern day workings of the power station before boarding our coach again for the spectacular 22km journey over the Wilmot Pass road to Deep Cove, Doubtful Sound.
On-board our spacious and well-appointed vessel, you will spend the next 3 hours leisurely exploring the awe inspiring beauty of Doubtful Sound.
Lunches can be ordered for this day-trip at your cost. Tea and coffee are complimentary throughout the day.
Milford Sound Coach & Cruise
Leisurely small group (maximum of 15 people) day excursion to Milford Sound from Te Anau, with a small boat cruise along the full length of the fiord. Then guests select either a series of short walks and exploration with the nature guide, or a 2.5 hour hiking (unguided) on the renowned Routeburn Track to Key Summit, picnic lunch is included.

Across the lake from the charming township of Te Anau are stunning limestone caves that include Glow worms. This is a 2 hr 15 experience that leaves a short (3 minute) walk from Radford’s. It includes a guided tour of the cave system and a cruise across Lake Te Anau.
