RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICIES

Arrival / Departure:

Check in time is between the hours of 2pm and 8pm on the day of arrival and check out time is before 10am on the day of departure. Variations outside these times must be arranged with reception prior to the day of arrival or departure so that staffing arrangements can be made along with the incoming guests’ prior arrangements for an early check in. We are happy to store luggage if required.

Reservations Age: You must be 18 years or over to book accommodation at One Tree Point Motel.

Securing Bookings: A valid credit card is required to secure your booking.

Payment: Credit card details are required to secure your booking (please note debit cards are not permitted).
Accepted payment types are Mastercard, VISA, Amex, EFTPOS and Cash. Radfords on the Lake reserve the right to pre-authorise the card to ensure validity of funds, and to charge the total cost of the booking to the guaranteed credit card within 14 days of arrival. Please note an additional 2% credit card transaction fee will be added at the time of payment.

Cancellation Policies: Cancellations must be in written format & confirmed by management 14 days prior to 2pm of the day of arrival.  Bookings not cancelled by this time will be charge 100% of the booking total, charged to the securing credit card or account. No shows will incur full charges for the entire booking. Multi-night stays that are cut short on arrival will still be charged the full rate, as this is within our cancellation policy. Please read below for group bookings cancellation policy.

Group Bookings: Group booking of 3 of more units is termed a group at Radfords on the Lake. We reserves the right to accept group bookings or check in to any group we believe may be disruptive to other guests. All other terms & condition and Rules apply for group bookings. If you require a group booking please either send us an email inquiry to info@rafordsonthelake.co.nz or call us direct on +64 3 249 9186, We are more than happy to answer you inquiry.

Full or partial cancellations to group bookings must be made 30 days prior to arrival, cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will be charged 100% of the booking total to the securing credit card or account.

Extra Person: Please declare any extra people including babies and children who are staying with you. We reserve the right to charge $60.00 per person per night for any extra guests staying that have not been declared. We also have a maximum number of guests allowed in rooms due to safety and fire regulations and these numbers must be adhered too.

• Max 2 people in a Studio
• Max 2 people in a Superior One Bedroom
• Standard rate 2 people: Max 5 in a Large One Bedroom Apartment
• Standard rate up to 4 people: Max of 6 people including babies in two Bedroom Apartments.

Behaviour: Should a guest causes a disturbance whilst on premise, we have the right to remove the guest and a refund will not be available.  Please note: Radfords on the Lake reserves the right to charge for costs & losses associated with damage to property & disruption to fellow guests as a result of such a disturbance.

Health & Safety: Please always mind children as we have a pond in the garden below our Radford’s on the Lake sign, there is also a busy street in front of the complex and the Lake.  Children must always be supervised.

RULES

• No Pets:  Pets are not permitted in motel units or on motel grounds
• Visitors:  We welcome your visitors. In consideration to fellow guests, visitors are required to vacate the motel complex by 9pm.  Parties are not permitted.
• Noise:  Please be considerate to fellow guests & keep noise down, particularly between 9.00pm & 8.00am.
• Smokers:  Please smoke outside the units, away from other guests & use the astray provided under the table outside .  Please make sure when you are smoking that the doors and windows are closed and be considerate by not smoking near other guests and especially children. In the event of someone smoking in the room we will engage a specialist cleaning company. We reserve the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest.
• Fish:  Gutting, scaling & cleaning of fish is not permitted on motel property. Contact Reception re storage of fishing equipment & seafood caught/picked (NB: these are not to be stored in the unit).
• Cooking Odorous Foods:  Please refrain from cooking odorous foods such as curry and fish as the smell lingers and is unpleasant for others who come to stay.

For each of the above rules, there is a $200 per night penalty. Radfords on the Lake reserves the right to charge for costs & losses associated with damage to property & disruption to fellow guests as a result of breaches of these rules.
